A position is open for a full-time research assistant to work on the national HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) study. The HBCD study is recruiting women during pregnancy and following their infants through the first five years of their lives. https://heal.nih.gov/research/infants-and-children/healthy-brain There are 25 sites across the United States and all sites will be acquiring EEG from infants and young children for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities: The research assistant will work with staff in the Child Development Lab directed by Dr. Nathan Fox and scientists from the different sites on issues of EEG signal processing, and EEG quality control.
Required education: Bachelor’s degree in or related to Psychology, Computer Science, Applied Maths/Statistics, Human Development, or Cognitive or Affective Neuroscience. Individuals should have some experience with EEG and have solid math skills. Elementary knowledge of MATLAB and/or R is preferred, and programming experience in Python is also helpful. The job is available beginning June 2023 and requires a two-year commitment.
