Symposium Submissions

Overview

FIT’NG will be accepting submissions for symposium proposals from the FIT’NG community for symposia sessions at the 2026 conference.

Symposium Submissions open January 13, 2026

The deadline to submit your abstract is February 25, 2026

Symposia Information

Submissions must focus on fetal, neonate, infant, toddler, or perinatal longitudinal scientific content on topics relevant to the FIT’NG community (empirical content, theory, or a mix of the two are welcome). Sessions should bring together speakers with diverse perspectives (e.g. from multiple institutions, a variety of career stages or backgrounds, multiple methodologies, etc.) to address an interesting question in a novel way.

The symposium will be a 75-minute time slot and must have 4 speakers, each delivering a 15-minute presentation, with a 15-minute audience question period at the end.

Each symposium must have one appointed Session Chair (who may also serve as a speaker). The Session Chair is responsible for the following:

      • Make sure speakers receive all necessary information and updates (timing, format, expectations) and communicate any changes or questions back to organizers.
      • Open session and introduce individual speakers.
      • Keep the session on schedule, transition between talks, and ensure presentations and Q&A stay within allotted time.
      • Close session and read any announcements from the organizors.

Proposals will be evaluated by the 2026 Program Committee. Reviews will be based on the quality of the proposal and appropriateness for the FIT’NG community.

Special Note: Abstracts submitted as part of a symposium session may also be submitted individually to the general submissions call (see below).
