The Child Development Lab (CDL) at the University of Maryland under the direction of Nathan Fox is searching for full-time research assistant/lab coordinator. The RA/Lab Coordinator will have dual responsibilities including working on a national study (Healthy Brain and Child Development -HBCD and overseeing day to day activities of the CDL. Research on HBCD involves being trained on the assessments for the University of Maryland HBCD site for the in-lab visits, including EEG, MRI, and behavioral observation.

General lab logistics include submitting Institutional Review Board amendments, coordinating travel, scheduling and facilitating meetings, purchasing supplies, overseeing participant compensation onboarding and offboarding staff, submitting departmental requests, maintaining the lab website, submitting data use agreements, and training lab staff on university and lab policies. Minimum Qualifications: BA or BS in Psychology, Neuroscience, or Human Development. Skills should include familiarity with Excel and understanding of IRB study protocol submissions.  Prior experience working with infants and/or young children in a research context is preferred. The position requires keen attention to detail, organizational and planning abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. The job is available beginning Spring 2023 and requires a two-year commitment.
