Elections
FIT’NG invites all members to participate in the election process by nominating, or self-nominating, candidates for and voting in the elections of the Board of Directors.
The FIT’NG Society is embarking on a 3-year project to grow the board from 5 to 14 directors and will add 4 directors this year. Nominations are now open for this year’s election. Read on for more information on the nomination process.

Nomination Process
Members in good standing can self-nominate or be nominated by others (if your membership has lapsed or you do not yet have a membership, sign-up or renew here).
Requirements
Nominees must include the following information with their nomination:
- A copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae/resume
- A head and shoulder photo of the nominee

- How do you view FITNG’s vision and mission?
- How many FIT’NG Conferences you have attended?

What has been your past or current service in the FIT’NG society?

Where are you based (i.e., where do you live, what institution do you work for)?

What is your experience interacting with business/industry/philanthropy?
- What is your experience serving on non-profit boards?
- What is your experience in leadership roles?
- Broadly defined, how would you describe your diversity (i.e., gender, race, ethnicity, disability, career stage, or other dimensions)?
- How has your research contributed to the FIT’NG field?
Additional Information
- To geographically diversify the board, we invite nominations from around the world. At least one of our new Directors must reside in North America and at least one must reside in any non-North American country.
- Board terms are 2 years in duration, for this election the board term is January 1st, 2025 – December 31st, 2026. Terms can be renewed for a maximum of 1 additional 2-year term.
- Board members are expected to participate in monthly board meetings via conference call and to attend a face-to-face board meeting during the Annual FIT’NG Conference.
- Board members must maintain their membership in good standing during their term(s) and will be asked assist with specific duties and portfolios and attend related meetings, as assigned by the Officers.
